Margarita Silva focuses her practice on immigration and criminal defense — the two areas of law that most often intersect. She guides families through the immigration process, defends against deportation, and represents clients facing criminal charges in federal, state, and municipal courts. Before entering private practice, she served as an assistant public defender in Maricopa County, giving her courtroom experience that informs every case she takes.
Ms. Silva has practiced in Arizona since 1995. She serves as a judge pro tempore in the Guadalupe Municipal Court, is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and is frequently invited to present on immigration law to attorneys, professional organizations, and community groups. Her service includes the Arizona State Bar delegation to the ABA House of Delegates, the Board of Directors of the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, and leadership roles with Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association.
